Sometimes Silence is Best

This an idealized illustration based on my Warden Zerina, a Dalish elf rogue from Dragon Age Origins. And yes I have a bit of player designed DLC She is cool and calculating about all things, with a deep seeded hatred of humans. The only soft side her party really witnesses is her growing love for the deadly and seductive Zeveran. Through his devil-may-care attitude she begins to appreciate the world outside the Dalish camp. Her armor is specifically designed in a soft leather because she uses agility and stealth to avoid danger, both of which would be hindered by metal plated armor.

I started this during the summer and almost finished but then school started and that all went to hell. I quickly finished it today so as to have it out in the world and off my desktop. (I keep works in progress open until I finish them.) There was a lot of progress made in this piece and a lot of things I need to learn and revisit. *cough* backgrounds *cough* Anywho, I hope you enjoy it. Comments and help is always appreciated

Update:
I printed this piece 60" x 40" (I ended up having to tile it which took 30 sheets of standard size paper) and won honors in the 2011 CSU Channel Islands Student Art Show!

Time: Relative, but most of it was completed in about 2-3 weeks
