Divine Desserts 1 of 5

This is a project I did for my pre-press and packaging class. The assignment was to take a very small take-out box and design it for a fictitious company in a way that would make individuals want to keep the box when they were done with it. We were also challenged to incorporate a pattern and use recognizable images/symbols for our products without using stereotypical or cliche imagery. Later in the project, the assignment of making a door hanger menu was added.

I chose to make a Japanese/American bakery. Recognizable images are the kimono (which I also used for the pattern) and the lotus. I also made the top look like a lattice to give a street corner bakery feel. Inside are actual sugar cookies I baked

This piece was featured in the seventh annul CSUCI Student Art Exhibition "Art N' Facts." It won third place for the Graphic Design category.

Program: Photoshop CS2 and Illustrator CS2 and CS4
Time: 2 week assignment (unsure of actual work time.)
